Ryszard Kiwerski (1930 – 2015) – Artysta malarz, designer
The Artist of the Sun has always loved to paint and design 3D compositions on walls, ceilings and floors. He also created illustrations, photo montages, advertisements and movie posters. In 1975, he was awarded a gold medal for posters exhibited at the Cannes Film Festival. His works are currently in the archives of the Center Pompidou, in the Forney and Arsenal libraries, in the Cinémathèque of Paris, private collections as well as in museums of Wilanów, Łódź and Poznań. At the end of the 20th century, he invented the concept of PARAPENTURE and artograms reflecting the movement of the Earth around the sun. When I was 8 years old, he offered me a compass that did not show north, so he taught me to look for north with a watch and the sun. Currently, over 2,000 paintings show that the Earth revolves around the sun. “Concrete Abstraction in Verticality”. I remember those words to this day.
